Frequently Asked Questions

 

 

What are your appointment hours?

The hours vary for each therapist, but generally extend from 9:00 am – 9:00 pm Monday through Saturday.

 

What are your fees/payment?

Our fees are based on the experience and qualifications of the clinician. Full fee therapeutic sessions typically range from $150-175. Our clinicians are committed to offering a limited number of sliding scale fees based on need.

 

Group therapy session fees range from $60-80. Psycho-diagnostic and psycho-educational testing service fees are highly variable and are discussed by the individual clinician following the initial interview/evaluation.

 

Do you accept insurance?

Several of our clinicians are in-network providers for PPO insurance plans, including Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Illinois, Cigna, and Aetna. Please contact your insurance company to determine your mental health coverage. We collect co-payment and co-insurance at the time of service and will bill your insurance company for services covered under your plan. We accept cash, personal checks, and credit card payments.

 

What is your cancellation policy?

AMS requires 24-hour notice to cancel a session without charge. Without such notice you will be charged for all missed appointments.

 

How long is each session?

Sessions are typically 45-50 minutes.

 

What is your confidentiality policy?

AMS exercises the highest degree of confidentiality and privacy possible in the performance of our clinical work. Although we are happy to do so at your request, we will not discuss your treatment with outside clinicians or agencies unless we have your written consent. AMS voice mailboxes are completely private and for our own exclusive use.
